New Trailer!!

Back on my CSULB movie blog, I posted the teaser for Michael Cera's new quirky-nerd-falls-in-love film, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. By now we've all heard the "Michael Cera plays the same character in every movie" complaint, but you know what? It's a pretty awesome character. Who doesn't love George-Michael Bluth? Perhaps I'm just charmed by his lanky two-pound frame and whisper voice. Anyway, the full trailer, which will play in front of Get Him to the Greek this Friday, has just been released! Rejoice!

Michael Cera, action star? From Edgar Wright, director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead aka Best Movie Ever?? I'm there. Oh and is that Kieran Culkin I see?? Lovely. So tell me, people, will YOU be seeing Scott Pilgrim??? Sound off in the comments, bbs!

PS: It's on like Donkey Kong? I feel violated.

Hi Guys...

It's been a loooooooooooooong time, hasn't it? K, so this summer I'm planning on starting Sassy again, and I know I've said this many times before, but I'm going to try real hard to make it stick this time. I'd like to take this time to comment on some changes Sassy'll be going through over the next few weeks....

I spent this last semester posting blogs on a different/CSULB private account. I meant to copy/paste them here, but I was lazy. lulz. Anywayyy, it was suggested by my professor and the Journalism Day Panel ~ooh la la~ that we continue blogging on our "beats" (mine was movies, shockingly enough) so that potential internship people/future employers can see that we know how to 1) follow a beat 2) post on a regular schedule and 3) write coherent sentences. I did all 3 very well I might say (100% on my semester-long blog holla holla) and I figured it was because I had so much ~experience writing here on Sassy. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that from now on Sassy will be less about my life and things I like and more about movie stuff such as trailers/casting/box office, etc. Sad, I know, but I'll try to throw in some personal stuff every now and then, too. It shouldn't be too bad. My own ~sassy voice will remain intact and there will be plenty of tildes to go around. ~~~~~!! Sound good?

Onward!

Hello

So, on the off-chance I celebrate Halloween this year [a certain someone said she wouldn't go trick-or-treating with me (lookin at you, shwan)] I'll need help deciding what I want to be!!

It's between this guy:

It's all about that epic eye. And the hat. Milk included?

Alex is the epitome of Fashion!

Or this guy:

For obvious reasons to anyone who knows me.

I want to fly.

So, get in the poll and vote! Then tell me in the comments why you voted the way you did. I'm already leaning towards one, but maybe you can convince me otherwise.

PS: Anyone surprised it's between two dudes?

...me either.

Eat Fresh

So, anyone who knows me well could tell you all about my hatred for institutions of education. Jr. High was awkward and....awkward. High School made me want to die about half the time, and I'm not sure I have any feeling either way about college. Anywhoooo....after finishing another dreadfully droll 75 minutes in Philosophy 170, which I believe should be retitled Why the Hell Do I Give an Ish? 170, I was ridiculously tired and, more importantly, unbelievably starving. So I wandered over to Subway. I ordered some awkward combination of chicken and pretend bacon with the ever important fatty ingredient ranch. The smell itself was enough to satisfy my hunger, but when I took the first bite. lakjdflafljadlfjalds. GENIUS. Do you ever feel like you're having the worst day ever? Today wasn't really one of those days, but if it had been WHOA NOW!! Imagine what I could have done!! That sub was like a frikkin rebirth. Ahahahaha. Sad. I'm rambling now. I just really wanted to blog about my delicious Subway lunch.

-AR ooooo that's legit. bahaha.
